Miami-Dade Junior Rifle Club
The Miami-Dade Junior Rifle Club has been teaching boys and girls ages 12-18 the sport of international target rifle shooting since the 1950s. The goal has been to teach the safe handling of firearms and the skills require to participate in one of the most popular Olympic sports.
All shooting is done under the supervision of volunteer National Rifle Association Certified Rifle instructions free of charge. The Club is chartered by the National Rifle Association, U.S.A. ,Shooting and the Florida Sport Shooting Association and supported by Miami-Dade parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Department, Civils Marksmanship program, individualism parents of the shooters, several of the local adult shooting clubs, some local gun shops and local shooting supply industries.
The club meets the first three Saturdays of each month from 9 am – noon. The third Saturday of the month is a Roundup Match (if enough shooters are present).
